It’s that time of the year again. Our Annual ACE NorCal Holiday Party is almost here! Once again Richard Tuck has graciously offered to host our annual event as we ring in the holiday season. This year promises to be another fun time for all! Stop by to hang out with old ACE friends and meet new ones, too. We’ll fill you in on what we have in store for you next year here in Northern California.

Saturday, 11 December 2004
Planned schedule

12:00 noon to 2:00 PM
Party at It Must Be Magic (aka Richard’s home): Enjoy food, drink, games, and surprises! Marvel at Richard’s unmatched collection of international amusement park and roller coaster memorabilia. Grab some hot popcorn and sit back in Richard’s movie theater while catching the latest amusement park and coaster videos. You are also invited to bring along videos of your 2004 coaster trips. Activities will also include an ACE roller coaster treasure hunt. Please bring a food item or snack to share with everyone. Soft drinks and popcorn will be provided.

2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Playland-Not-at-the-Beach is open for your enjoyment. Get a sneak preview of Playland-Not-at-the-Beach. This nonprofit family fun museum commemorating the first amusement park in Northern California will be opening in Spring 2005. For several years hundreds of volunteers have been working on developing Playland. The ACE party will allow us to see progress and to view what is probably the largest collection of memorabilia from the old Playland-at-the-Beach. Although the displays are not yet in place, you can start to see how everything will be coming together for the grand opening.

2:00 PM
Enjoy pinball and other games. Play for prizes in the ACE pinball contest or just for fun! Catch more coaster videos or just enjoy visiting with friends.

3:00 PM
Gift Exchange: Please bring a wrapped coaster-related present for our annual gift exchange. The gift exchange is always the highlight of the party. Gifts in the past have included post cards, buttons, tee shirts, park maps, models, books, and yes, the infamous Schmuzzle Puzzle! Participation in the gift exchange is optional, but highly encouraged. You can still have fun just watching the gift exchange game.

Following the gift exchange, we may offer some exclusive amusement park items for auction. All money raised in the auction will go to the ACE Preservation Fund or the ACE Museum Fund. All bids / donations are tax deductible.

4:00 PM
The party officially ends.
